One catalogue, many locations
Keep a single product catalogue managed by head office, with stock tracked per branch. Branches should never create their own versions of the same product — that is how reports stop adding up.
Transfer before you buy
Before raising a purchase order, check whether another branch is overstocked. Structured transfers (requested → approved → dispatched → received) keep an audit trail and stop stock "disappearing" between locations.
Give each role the right access
Cashiers sell; storekeepers receive and count; managers approve adjustments and transfers; owners see everything. Role-based permissions protect the business without slowing staff down.
Compare branches weekly
Review sales, margin, stock value and shrinkage by branch every week. Differences are usually process problems you can fix — and the best branch is a template for the rest.
